Samsung Electronics’ latest foldable smartphones are receiving strong recognition from independent consumer testing, with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra achieving a great score in the foldable smartphone category in Consumer Reports’ ratings.
For tech enthusiasts who are keen to own a foldable device, the recognition highlights how far Samsung has come in the category has come. From capturing content on the go to multitasking between work and entertainment, the latest Galaxy Z series continues to focus on the experiences that matter to users.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra achieved a perfect score of 5 out of 5 across every display and camera test category conducted by Consumer Reports, including rear photo, rear video and front selfie performance.
The results highlight the device’s capabilities in delivering sharp image quality and accurate colours, including in challenging shooting conditions such as low light. For users who frequently capture food, travel moments, family occasions and social content, dependable camera performance can be an important part of the everyday smartphone experience.
Beyond camera performance, all three Galaxy Z8 series models achieved a perfect 5 out of 5 in Consumer Reports’ Performance category.
This recognition highlights the devices’ ability to deliver smooth performance alongside intuitive menus and convenient features. The three models also recorded a Predicted Reliability score of 91 out of 100 among surveyed purchasers, offering insight into consumer confidence in the latest generation of foldable devices.

Samsung’s flagship smartphone portfolio also received recognition, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra continuing to hold a strong position in Consumer Reports’ smartphone ratings, achieving a combined score of 88 points across performance evaluation, reliability and satisfaction.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra received high scores in seven of Consumer Reports’ 10 performance evaluation categories, including Display, Rear Camera Image Quality, Battery and Charging, Durability and Ease of Use.
Notably, Consumer Reports awarded a great battery score to only one of the top 30 smartphones it evaluated. The Galaxy S26 Ultra recorded a battery life of 51 hours and 30 minutes in its testing, despite featuring a 6.9-inch display.
The recognition adds to the device’s international reception, with consumer advocacy publications across markets including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Sweden also naming the Galaxy S26 Ultra among their leading smartphone choices.
