REGZA was created by Toshiba Corporation as a television brand and launched in Japan in 2006. Over the past 20 years, REGZA has continued to open new possibilities in the viewing experience through innovations such as time-shift viewing, glasses-free 3D, and 4K. At its first dedicated exhibition at IFA, REGZA will showcase how its latest picture, gaming, and lifestyle technologies bring viewers closer to what they watch and play. From more lifelike colors and natural sunlight reproduction to smoother gaming and art that blends into the living space, REGZA aims to deliver richer, more immersive experiences across movies, games, art, and everyday entertainment. 116-inch ZX Series Flagship RGB Mini LED TV[2]: Bringing Lifelike Color to the Big Screen
At the center of the booth is the 116-inch ZX Series, REGZA’s flagship RGB Mini LED TV and a showcase of how REGZA integrates advanced display hardware with its proprietary picture-processing technology. The newly developed RGB Mini LED backlight and REGZA Engine ZRα work together to draw out the full color performance of the panel through AI-based scene analysis and precise backlight control.
The RGB Mini LED backlight independently controls red, green, and blue LEDs, improving color purity and brightness while enabling a wider color gamut. REGZA Engine ZRα analyzes each scene and determines the optimal RGB backlight color for each area of the screen.
Through Scene-Based RGB Backlight Color Optimization, REGZA Engine ZRα distinguishes reflected light from self-emitted light and reproduces the color, brightness, and texture of each subject according to the character of the light. This supports natural color reproduction even in bright reflections.
In addition, 108-bit fine color gradation renders highly detailed, lifelike colors. Together, these technologies demonstrate REGZA’s core strength: combining proprietary image processing with advanced display technology to pursue greater realism on a spectacular 116-inch screen.
Flagship Mini LED Concept Model: Recreating the Natural Brightness and Depth of Sunlight
REGZA will also demonstrate Realistic Sunlit Scene Reproduction on two 85-inch flagship Mini LED concept models, showcasing the latest REGZA ZR technology. REGZA Engine ZRα analyzes each scene in real time, detects sunlight or other strong light sources, and precisely controls brightness and highlight contrast. This preserves texture and detail without white clipping while reproducing natural glare, depth, and light distribution, making bright outdoor scenes feel closer to real-world sunlight.
REGZA Gaming and ArtVision: More Immersive Play, More Natural Living Spaces
For gaming, REGZA applies its picture and sound expertise to smooth, responsive gameplay. The IFA demonstration features the REGZA Engine ZRi, 144Hz native refresh rate, low input lag with VRR and ALLM support, and Game Deck with AI Gaming. REGZA also continues to strengthen its connection with gaming audiences through collaborations and sponsorships of major esports events.
The REGZA ArtVision G700S extends REGZA picture expertise into the living space. Its matte display, anti-glare and anti-reflection design, distinctive frame, and Art Mode are designed to reproduce reflected colors and fine details with a museum-like visual quality.
Z670S and Z570S: Vivid Picture and Smooth Entertainment for Everyday Viewing
REGZA will also showcase two key models for global markets: the 100-inch Z670S QLED Mini LED TV and the 85-inch Z570S QLED TV.
The Z670S is a high-end Mini LED model designed for immersive big-screen cinema and gaming. Combining QLED, Mini LED and Full Array Local Dimming, it delivers rich color, deep contrast and impressive brightness. Powered by the REGZA Engine ZRi, AI analyzes both the content and the viewing environment to optimize picture and sound. Front-firing speakers with Eilex PRISM technology further enhance clarity and realism, while 144Hz, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support smooth and immersive gameplay.
The Z570S offers a more accessible big-screen experience built around QLED Color and the REGZA Engine ZRi. Mini Dimming improves detail across bright and dark scenes, while Native 144Hz and Game Mode Pro deliver smooth, responsive performance for sports and gaming. REGZA Power Audio adds clear and powerful sound, making the Z570S a versatile choice for everyday cinema, sports and gaming.
