The THICC just got “THICC-er”! At this year’s CES, HYTE unveiled the THICC Q80 Trio, a monstrous 360mm version of its acclaimed THICC Q60 AIO cooler. This new release is designed to push the limits of liquid cooling performance while offering unmatched customization options through the Nexus 2.0 software. With pre-orders now open at $319.99 and a launch planned for Q1 2025, the THICC Q80 Trio has already captured the attention of PC enthusiasts worldwide.
THICC Q80 Trio: What’s New?
Building on the success of the Q60, HYTE has introduced a host of improvements in the Q80 Trio:
Bigger and Better Cooling: Featuring a massive 52mm-thick radiator and a second-generation copper cold plate, the Q80 Trio delivers enhanced thermal performance and broader compatibility.
Next-Gen Fans: The new THICC FP12 Trio fans boast 105.8 CFM airflow, 8.14 mmH2O static pressure, and embedded thermal sensors for intelligent speed adjustments. Their single-frame design also ensures a seamless aesthetic with improved durability.
Dual Harmonic Pumps: Quiet and efficient, these pumps are built for high-performance cooling without breaking a sweat—or your silence.
Designed with the HYTE Y70 and Y70 Touch Infinite cases in mind, the Q80 Trio fits perfectly while remaining compatible with a range of other chassis.
Nexus 2.0: Personalization Meets Performance
HYTE’s updated Nexus 2.0 software transforms the Q80 Trio into more than just a cooler. It’s a fully interactive system:

5” IPS Display: Mounted on a floating hinge, this 720p, 60Hz screen lets you showcase everything from real-time system stats to media and GIFs, with a full 180-degree swivel for the perfect angle.
Intelligent Cooling Control: Nexus 2.0 allows for up to 36 daisy-chained fans, giving you ultimate control over your system’s cooling.
RGB Customization Galore: With OpenRGB SDK integration, you can sync lighting effects across 1,800+ devices, including the included LS10 light strip for added flair.
Availability and First Impressions
The THICC Q80 Trio is available for pre-order now at HYTE.com and will start shipping in March 2025. In Malaysia, I estimate that it will arrive shortly after the global launch, likely around April or May 2025, and could retail for approximately RM1,599–RM1,699 after factoring in shipping, import duties, and taxes.
It comes in two stunning finishes: Snow White and Pitch Black, both designed to turn heads while keeping your CPU ice-cool.
HYTE has made it clear that the Q80 Trio isn’t just about raw performance—it’s about creating a centerpiece for your build. From its Zero RPM Mode for silent operation to its concealed cables and meticulous attention to detail, this AIO aims to deliver both style and substance.

My Take
While I haven’t gotten my hands on a unit just yet (fingers crossed, HYTE!), I’m excited about the potential of the Q80 Trio. With its top-tier cooling capabilities, luxurious build quality, and a focus on personalization, it’s shaping up to be one of the standout AIOs of 2025. I’m particularly intrigued by the Nexus 2.0 updates, which elevate this cooler into a digital centerpiece for any PC build.
If HYTE's track record is anything to go by, the THICC Q80 Trio might just set the standard for AIO cooling in the coming year. I’m hoping to secure a review unit soon to dive deeper into its performance and features—stay tuned!
