Got a moment worth capturing? The HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2026 is now open for submissions, inviting photography enthusiasts across Malaysia to turn everyday scenes into powerful visual stories and share them with the world. In collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, this year’s initiative is further amplified through the ‘See, Truly Malaysia’ campaign, encouraging participants to showcase the nation’s rich culture, heritage, and landscapes on a global stage.
Now in its 10th edition, the XMAGE Awards stands as one of the world’s largest mobile photography competitions, attracting millions of submissions from around the globe. More than just a contest, it is a platform that celebrates creativity, perspective, and the art of storytelling through the lens of mobile imaging.
Beyond recognition, participants will also have the opportunity to gain global exposure and win attractive prizes. Globally, a total of 100 outstanding works will be selected as part of the prestigious “XMAGE 100,” with 97 winners each receiving USD1,500. As for the top three Grand Prize Winners, they will be crowned “Photographer of the Year,” each taking home USD10,000. Winning entries will also be showcased at the iconic Grand Palais in Paris, placing your work on an international stage.
At the Malaysia level, winners will be recognised under “The Power of Image Prizes”. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a HUAWEI Mate X7, followed by First Runner-up winners (2) who will each receive a HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro, and Second Runner-up winners (10) who will each receive a HUAWEI FreeClip 2. In addition, 15 Honourable Mentions will also be selected, with prizes to be announced. All winners will receive a trophy.
Participants can submit entries across nine diverse categories, including So Far So Close, Good Night, Color & Shade, Faces, A Heartwarming World, Experimental Lab, Storyboard, Action, and the newly introduced Active Moments.
Submissions are open from 23 March to 16 August 2026, and can be made via the official XMAGE Awards website, My HUAWEI app, HUAWEI Community, Instagram (Tag #HUAWEIXMAGEMY2026), and other supported platforms. Huawei smartphone users can also enjoy a seamless “one-tap post” feature via the My HUAWEI app, making it easier than ever to participate.
